Map the Edmond ZIP Code Directory
The Edmond ZIP code directory begins with postal geography, not a municipal map. USPS should make the final delivery determination for an exact address and unit. The City of Edmond address locator returns a ZIP field, while the city GIS and ODOT city map supply geographic context. Neither turns every postal Edmond address into an incorporated city address. The table records the Edmond-address ZIP families verified in local and official sources, including the use that needs the most caution.
| ZIP | Area or association located | Post office | Search note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 73003 | Central and east Edmond delivery association | Coffee Creek, 407 W. Covell Rd. | Verify each street with USPS and the city locator |
| 73012 | West Edmond association | West Edmond postal geography | Can extend beyond incorporated Edmond |
| 73013 | North, west, and central Edmond association | Centennial Station, 801 W. 33rd St. | Verify the exact address |
| 73025 | NW Edmond association | Associated with northwest edge geography | May include county or Deer Creek area context |
| 73034 | Central, east, and south Edmond association | Main Edmond Post Office, 200 N. Broadway | Main facility uses 73034-9998 |
| 73083 | Edmond mailing association | City PO Box use | Do not infer street delivery or city limits |
73049 is associated with Jones in an official 2025 Oklahoma ZIP pilot list and is not treated here as an Edmond city-limit ZIP. A municipal assistance guide also lists 73007 and nearby ZIPs as service coverage, not as an Edmond postal-boundary map. The research did not recover a complete dated USPS city-and-state result list, so an exact USPS lookup remains necessary before relying on a ZIP assignment.
Edmond ZIP Code Post Office Clues
Three USPS facility observations help orient the Edmond ZIP code directory: the main Edmond Post Office uses 73034-9998, Coffee Creek uses 73003-9998, and Centennial Station uses 73013-9998. Those facility ZIP+4 values identify the facilities themselves. They are not a shortcut for assigning every nearby home to the same postal route. Use the USPS By Address tool, enter the complete address and unit, and retain the preferred city and ZIP+4 result with the search notes.
The USPS ZIP Lookup supports By Address, By City and State, and Cities by ZIP modes. USPS cautions that a ZIP result does not establish that a person or company is at an address. Its purpose here is delivery verification. It works alongside, not instead of, a parcel, deed, or city-limit search.
- ZIP code
- A postal delivery area, not a legal city boundary or proof of occupancy.
- ZIP+4
- An added four-digit delivery detail used after the five-digit ZIP for a particular address or delivery point.
- PO-box ZIP
- A ZIP associated with post-office boxes or mailing use, which should not be assumed to cover street delivery.
- Carrier route
- A postal delivery grouping that can help route mail but is not a municipal district or resident list.
Test Edmond ZIP Code City Limits
A postal city and an incorporated city are separate facts. The Edmond address locator is the city-limit test. It returns either a valid address within Edmond or a result not located within Edmond, plus city, ZIP, plat, block, lot, section and township-range, ward, and service results. It catches county pockets and postal-city addresses that otherwise look like Edmond on mail.
Use the GIS City Limits and Outside Edmond City Limits layers together. A rural parcel can use Edmond as its postal city, while a property inside the city can have an owner mailing address in another place. The Assessor's physical situs, owner mailing address, County Clerk legal description, and USPS delivery address should be recorded as separate values. The difference is not an error by itself.
The city address locator displays the exact address format and the return fields used for this municipal check.
The result gives a city-boundary finding before a ZIP is used to choose the next record source.
Use Edmond ZIP Code GIS Fields
The city GIS gives the best local map context for an Edmond ZIP code directory search. Its address layer includes house number, direction, street name and type, building number, lot, block, plat, complex, address type, ZIP_CODE, and data-update information. Parcel features include PARCEL_NO or PARCELID, lot, block, plat name, geometry, and update information. Map, identify, and query functions can show addresses, parcels, streets, schools, parks, zoning, City Limits, and Outside Edmond City Limits.
| Official tool | ZIP-related input or output | Use and limit |
|---|---|---|
| USPS ZIP Lookup | Exact address and unit; By City and State; Cities by ZIP | Verifies delivery ZIP, not a person at the address |
| Edmond address locator | Address input; ZIP in result | Checks city status and geography |
| Edmond GIS address layer | ZIP_CODE field | Maps address and parcel context |
| Election Data Warehouse request | Residence ZIP custom-query condition | Only for qualified requestors under state law |
| County Assessor | Physical address, name, account | No explicit ZIP field on the captured basic screen |
The Edmond GIS map service shows the address, parcel, city-limit, outside-limit, street, and zoning layers in the captured source.
The GIS ZIP field helps compare mapped location and postal context, but recorded ownership still belongs in the Assessor and County Clerk records.
Edmond ZIP Code Voter Requests
ZIP can be a residence condition in an Oklahoma State Election Board Election Data Warehouse request, but it is not an unrestricted Edmond ZIP code directory. The full electronic voter list is no-cost only for eligible requestors under 26 O.S. ยง7-103.2: a bona fide Oklahoma resident and United States citizen, an Oklahoma candidate, or an official representative of a recognized Oklahoma political party. The request form says the data updates nightly and that custom conditions can include residence ZIP.
Submit the request by email to info@elections.ok.gov, fax to (405) 521-6457, or mail it to the Oklahoma State Election Board, State Capitol, Box 53156, Oklahoma City, OK 73152-3156. Access lasts one year and is renewable. The OK Voter Portal is different: it is a personal service that requires the name as registered and date of birth. Public voter data does not include driver-license numbers, Social Security numbers, phone, or email, and the Restricted Records and Address Confidentiality programs can protect addresses.
Note: A voter-data ZIP condition is a qualified records-request tool, not a public ZIP-by-ZIP roster of every Edmond household.
Search the Edmond ZIP Code Directory
After delivery and city status have been separated, use a ZIP to keep the search organized. Begin with the complete street address, not a bare ZIP. The Assessor basic screen has no explicit ZIP field, the County Clerk ROD search uses address rather than ZIP, and the Treasurer uses name, address, or account. That means a ZIP is mainly a narrowing and verification field, not the starting key for every local record.
- Run the exact address and unit through USPS, and keep the preferred city and ZIP+4 result.
- Enter the same address in the Edmond locator and note the city-limit result, ZIP, plat, block, lot, and ward.
- Search the physical address in the Oklahoma County Assessor system and separate the situs from the owner mailing address.
- Open the GIS parcel and review ZIP_CODE, parcel, address type, and City Limits or Outside Edmond City Limits layers.
- Use a qualified EDW voter request only when its legal access conditions apply; use the residence ZIP condition as a filter, not as proof of identity.
Once a ZIP result has narrowed the geographic area, the Edmond street directory gives the separate street-by-street parcel, deed, tax, and planning workflow.
Edmond ZIP Code Postal Caution
Edmond has a verified edge case in 73083. The City of Edmond uses PO Box 2970, Edmond, OK 73083 for mailing, but that fact does not establish that 73083 is a street-delivery ZIP or a city-limit area. Similarly, the official 2025 Oklahoma material labels 73025 NW Edmond and 73012 West Edmond, but no official postal realignment notice was found. The research does not turn either reference into a historical boundary claim.
Street history creates another reason to avoid a ZIP-only search. Edmond's survey line became 15th Street, a section line became 2nd Street, and Broad Street became Broadway by 1890. For a historical parcel, pair the modern address with a plat, lot, block, addition name, or legal description. Historic directories use street and address organization, not modern ZIP coding; Sanborn editions show built form and lot relationships but do not name every resident.
Edmond ZIP Code Directory Limits
The Edmond ZIP code directory can explain postal and geographic context. It cannot identify a current household from a ZIP alone, prove ownership, or replace a recorded instrument. A ZIP result does not establish a person or organization at an address. The Assessor is an assessment source rather than certified title; the GIS is map context; and voter information has statutory access and privacy limits. Compare an address, account, parcel, and date before treating two records as the same location.
Use ZIP records carefully. Edmond postal and address information is for personal, lawful research. Do not use it to stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm anyone, and do not seek protected address information.
For an incomplete record, use the appropriate fallback. The County Assessor accepts in-person, copy, and data requests; the County Clerk offers counter inspection and copies; and a specific Oklahoma Open Records Act request can go to the correct city or county custodian. For historical address work, the Edmond History Museum and Oklahoma Historical Society hold directories, newspapers, maps, and related collections. A missing online result is not by itself a reason to assume the address has no record trail.
